Sr. Software Engineer

Current Need
Position Description
* Maintains the current code base by working with Support, Product Management, and Quality Control groups to identify customer issues and corresponding fixes.
* Enhances current code base as directed by Lab Product Management.
* Works under direct supervision of the lead developer.
* Thorougly unit tests all delivered code.
* Works within the FDA guidelines to produce necessary artifacts to regulatory compliance.
* Creates and maintains all required technical design documentation and install / upgrade documentation.

Minimum Requirements
6+ years experience in software engineering
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Minimum qualifications
* Windows Presentation Format (WPF), ASP.Net
* Must have the ability to self direct and learn an existing product with a minimum amount of supervision.
* Excellent and demonstrated design, code and unit test skills
* Excellent communications skills with the ability to effectively and timely communicate development status, issues, and needs.
* Able to work under pressure and complete assignments on time
Preferred but not required:
* Proficiency in Perl
* Java, J2EE experience particularly with back end (business logic)
* HTML
* Oracle 10g PL/SQL experience
* Working knowledge of objected oriented design and program methodologies and techniques
* Agile and scrum experience preferred
* Working knowledge of objected oriented design and program methodologies and techniques
Education
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
