Position Description

The Vice President & General Manager of Homecare (ECSG) will be responsible for all aspects of strategic and business leadership of the Homecare business unit, based in Springfield, Missouri.

Reporting to the President of McKesson Health Systems Performance Management (HSPM), this person will be a key member of the HSPM and MPT leadership teams. The VP/GM will be accountable for driving the ECSG business unit P&L, including annual revenue targets exceeding $71M, and other team leadership and strategic objectives as identified by McKesson senior management.

This position currently has six direct reports including the Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Product Support, Vice President of Implementation, and Vice President of Development and Product Management. The Homecare division includes approximately 220 McKesson employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

¿ Create and communicate a well-developed, compelling vision for growing the ECSG business.

¿ Establish and enforce division financial targets, budget adherence, capital expenditures and expense controls.

¿ Develop innovative, market-leading strategic plans with a strong client focus.

¿ Work with senior management at McKesson to create strategic growth plans.

¿ Ensure solid operational model and metrics are developed and utilized; pursue operational excellence while creating and maintaining best practices in healthcare delivery models.

¿ Oversee all aspects of the Homecare Product Lifecycle including pricing, positioning, channel development and forecasting.

¿ Lead sales and marketing teams as they establish competitive positioning and pricing, and build and maintain solid customer relationships.

¿ Challenge Operations functions in continuous pursuit of process improvement. Consistently seek to improve quality and client satisfaction while striving for efficient service delivery to reduce costs.

¿ Provide leadership and direction while developing and managing a team of direct reports. Inspire, challenge and reward the team. Review TRP results and coach for performance improvement and career enhancement.

Minimum Requirements

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Proven track record leading a software business in the healthcare industry.

Strong leadership qualities, including the demonstrated ability to manage a team, recruit and retain top talent, build consensus, and rally members to achieve corporate growth goals.

Operates efficiently in a collaborative team environment and can navigate the intricacies of a highly matrixed corporate structure.

Demonstrated ability to operate as a multi-functional leader; candidate ideally has led product management, marketing, sales and operations functions.

Results-oriented style with a high degree of analytical ability.

Open, honest and direct communication style.

Proven ability to engender client trust and build relationships through firsthand work and client interaction.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Senior management experience in healthcare is critical.

Experience in the Homecare industry is preferred.

Education

BS/BA required.

MBA or a clinical graduate degree preferred.

A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive general management experience with P/L responsibility in a growth-oriented, client-focused organization.
