This position reports directly to the Compliance & Ethics Officer for McKesson Provider Technologies (MPT) and is accountable for assisting in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of an effective compliance and ethics program for MPT, a diversified portfolio of business healthcare technology segments.<br/><br/>Minimum Requirements<br/><br/>- 8+ years experience managing a Compliance & Ethics program <br><br/>- More than 3 years experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, and/or biotech experience desirable <br><br/>- Experience with anti-kickback, government contracting, data privacy, FDA regulations, and global corruption risks is highly desirable <br><br/>- Proven experience in monitoring and assessing compliance through formal and informal risk assessment processes, identifying gaps and recommending and implementing compliance solutions <br><br/>- Proven experience leading and managing complex internal investigations <br><br/>- Proven experience in using various systems and databases to conduct research and generate reports (e.g. Ethics line, risk management tracking, and case management) <br><br/>- Proficient in MS Office Suite of programs<br/><br/>Additional Knowledge & Skills<br/><br/>The Director of Compliance & Ethics will be assigned responsibility for a substantial area of the business and/or an assigned series of complex business processes, and is responsible for developing programs, administering training, investigating, evaluating and reporting on issues, risk assessment, and providing guidance to managers and employees on matters relating to ethics and legal compliance. This position is responsible for ensuring effective remediation of non-compliant situations within its assigned areas, through the re-design of processes and testing of their effectiveness. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the assigned business area(s) and an in-depth knowledge of the legislation, regulations, compliance policies and standards that apply to it. Working closely with peer level operational management, the Director will provide advice on the interpretation and implementation of compliance policies and evaluate the compliance implications of planned business activities.<br/><br/>This position will also serve as a MPT liaison to enterprise-wide Global Compliance initiatives and working groups on areas such as Investigations, Conflicts of Interest Certification, Anti-Corruption Program, Integrity Survey, and Code of Conduct.<br/><br/>To succeed, this person will need to build, maintain and strategically influence relationships across the enterprise, particularly with the following stakeholders: MPT, Global Compliance & Ethics, Human Resources, the Law Department, Internal Audit, Corporate Security and Information Security. <br><br/>This person will interact with all levels within the organization including MPT senior management. <title><![CDATA[Director Privacy - (The Woodlands, Texas)]]></title>

Annually, the united network of more than 9,000 physicians, clinicians, nurses, and administrators delivers integrated cancer care to more than 850,000 cancer patients in community-based clinics located in 41 states.<br/><br/>Position Description<br/><br/>The Privacy Director will report to the McKesson Specialty Health Chief Compliance Officer and lead key initiatives and activities related to the development and implementation of privacy training, procedures, monitoring, controls, risk mitigation planning and other privacy program elements within McKesson Specialty Health, in compliance with relevant privacy laws and McKesson's information privacy practices. This experienced privacy professional must be able to think strategically, execute tactically and build relationships with business partners in a collaborative environment.<br/><br/>The Privacy Director also will work closely with the Global Privacy Office, Global Compliance and Ethics, Records and Information Management, Information Security Risk Management, the Law department, Human Resources, other privacy resources across the company, and other internal risk assessing organizations and corporate functions, to address privacy issues within McKesson Specialty Health.<br/><br/>The Privacy Director will operate under minimal supervision while serving as key resource to the business. The Director will take initiative to lead projects and provide support to key stakeholders in developing the McKesson Specialty Health privacy program. Additionally, the Privacy Director will be responsible for:<br/><br/>Leading the development and communication of privacy procedures, guidelines and training in coordination with Global Compliance and Ethics, the Global Privacy Office, and legal counsel. <br><br/>- Understanding and incorporating new regulatory requirements, as appropriate, into McKesson Specialty Health's privacy program with assistance from legal counsel, the Global Privacy Office and the McKesson Specialty Health Chief Compliance Officer.<br><br/>- Performing initial and periodic privacy risk assessments and conducting ongoing compliance monitoring activities, and supporting relevant departments (e.g. IT Management, Global Privacy Office, Human Resources, product and service development, etc.) and corporate initiatives in establishing/improving privacy processes resulting from risk assessment and monitoring activities.<br><br/>- Working with legal counsel and the McKesson Specialty Health Chief Compliance Officer to ensure McKesson Specialty Health has and maintains appropriate privacy and confidentiality consent, information notices, and training and other materials reflecting current organization and legal practices and requirements.<br><br/>- Ensuring compliance with privacy practices and consistent application of sanctions for failure to comply with privacy policies for McKesson's workforce, in cooperation with other departments as applicable.<br><br/>- Serving as a privacy subject matter expert and providing guidance and advice within McKesson Specialty Health.<br><br/>- Working with key partners to ensure coordination of activities and alignment between security and privacy programs, particularly around data incidents involving personal information.<br><br/>- Managing the process for receiving, documenting, tracking, investigating, and taking action on complaints concerning McKesson Specialty Health's privacy policies and procedures in coordination and collaboration with other similar functions and, when necessary, legal counsel.<br><br/>- Leading the creation and delivery of initial and periodic privacy-related orientation and education to McKesson Specialty Health employees, workforce, and appropriate third parties. <br><br/>- Participating in investigations of potential privacy violations by employees or other inappropriate conduct with respect to corporate privacy policies, as needed. <br><br/>- Assisting with privacy incident handling, potentially including incident investigation, tracking and coordinating.<br/><br/>Minimum Requirements<br/><br/>Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum of 4 years of progressively increasing responsibility and experience in privacy or health care privacy compliance/legal department, Strong project management skills, Knowledge of privacy frameworks and principles, and experience in privacy compliance programs based in US Federal, state, and/or international laws (ideally including HIPAA/HITECH, EU DPD, others), Understanding of trends in healthcare information technology, Excellent oral and written presentation skills, including the ability to communicate to all organizational levels, Ability to draft policy documents and translate regulatory requirements into practical and actionable elements<br/><br/>Additional Knowledge & Skills<br/><br/>- Juris Doctorate degree preferred <br><br/>- Experience in a large, decentralized, multi-national company<br><br/>- Experience in healthcare, pharma, research, legal services and/or project services<br><br/>- Experience with secondary use of data and EHRs, and the deployment of health information exchanges<br><br/>- Experience with Six Sigma or other similar business performance frameworks<br><br/>- CIPP certification preferred <br><br/>- Experience with information management and change management <br><br/>- Experience conducting internal investigations <br><br/>- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills <br><br/>- Courage to take difficult or unpopular positions when necessary to protect the company <br><br/>- Demonstrated excellence in leadership, alignment and execution <br><br/>- Demonstrated ability to influence across many organizations at all levels <br><br/>- Reputation for exercising the highest integrity <br><br/>- Ability to draft policy documents and translate regulatory requirements into practical and actionable elements <br><br/>- Strong analytical skills <br><br/>- Extremely organized<br/><br/>Benefits & Company Statement<br/><br/>We believe you should be rewarded for the important work you do.
