Product Support Representative

Current Need
Provide software applications support as defined by the Business Requirements of customer. The analyst will as document and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle. Responsible for responding to product application support questions from customer. Analyzes problems with software application and recommends corrective action.
Responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating programs for internal functional areas within the Lab Department. Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding, and tests/debugs programs. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards. Trains users in conversion and implementation of system.
Position Description
Responsible for responding to product application support questions from customers regarding the companys software. Analyzes problems with software applications to identify problem area(s) and recommend corrective action. Recommends solutions to customer application questions. May utilize specialized domain expertise related to the specific application of the software to resolve customer problems.
Minimum Requirements
4+years product applications support experience
2-4 years of experience with commercial lab systems including designing, building, testing, supporting, and project managing installations and upgrades.
Ability to program application for HL7 interfaces
4+years of experience being a commercial lab system administrator.
Previous experience as Medical Technologist with lab experience.
Requires providing support off hours and on call schedule.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Previous knowledge of Sunquest Commercial Lab Software a plus
Knowledge of Cerner or McKesson Lab Systems a plus
Knowledge of Cerner BedRock, CCL a plus
Previous knowledge of building process with lab software a plus
Experience with instrument interfaces a plus
Education
BS degree or equivalent experience.
