Rebates Analyst Buying Groups & Regional Accts

Position Description

This position will assist ISMC Manager during peak time and oversee McKesson largest buying group within the Rebate Department to ensure compliance, customer service, and account management.
Additionally, this position will be responsible for overseeing a large buying group quarterly review function for the US Pharma division. Currently rebates consequently have a significant impact on our gross margin. This role requires well developed skills in accounting, business analysis, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of four or more analyst during peak times under the directive of the ISMC Rebate Manager
Build relationships and collaborate with business partners to ensure the integrity of financial information
Quarterly review of large buying group COGS to analyze compliance threshold
Read and interpret customer contracts to ensure accurate and timely rebate set-ups
Review all rebate calculations and required activity to ensure accurate and timely payment during
Month-end close
Prepare and review monthly reconciliations by assigned customer accounts
Research and resolve customer requests and compliance related issues
Assist the accountants and sales teams with monthly P&L analysis
Recommend process improvements to assist with system enhancements and current processes
Conduct rebates analysis by using internal systems to extract data
Provide monthly reports to customers for assigned rebates
Working knowledge of MS Excel and Access
Research and resolve all general ledger reconciling items

Other responsibilities:

Perform detailed analysis and review of processes/transactions with a strict adherence to McKesson policies and GAAP to identify exposure and risk.

Ensure all accruals / rebate calculations are updated for the month end close process

Process all required journal entries into SAP

Process payments and reporting to customers for assigned rebates

Assist the accountants with monthly P&L analysis for customer rebate expense

Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting

Identify opportunities and implement solutions for process and profitability improvements

Identify and communicate best practices and/or opportunities to strengthen controls

Use the various McKesson systems (BO, SAP, SMO, CRS etc) to extract data

Monitor, track, and report Buying Group project risks/issues and help drive resolutions to meet project deadlines

Work with other teams¿ members and ISMC Sr. Manger to obtain status updates related to Customer Rebates

Special Projects and analysis as required

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 5-6 years accounting or finance experience preferably with rebates
2) Strong business acumen required
3) Strong Microsoft Excel experience required.
4) Experience with Microsoft Access a plus
5) Knowledge of sales data and contracts a plus
6) Strong analytical skills required
7) Working Knowledge of SAP preferred

Education

4-year degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience
