Telecommunications Manager

Position Description

Responsible for the management and operation of the company's voice, wire and computer data services. Reviews costs/benefits of installing in-house telephone switching systems versus common carriers. Evaluation and installation of all new and upgraded voice/wire systems. Oversees the installation and repair of data terminals and networks. Negotiates contracts with vendors, has billing responsibility to users, monitors cost effectiveness and recommends upgrading of appropriate systems. Develops long-range plans for telecommunications systems. Communicates status of telecommunications projects to senior management.

Minimum Requirements

4+ years telecommunications experience including 2+ years managerial experience

Additional Knowledge & Skills

This position can be located in Carrollton, TX, Sacramento, CA or Alpharetta, GA.

- Minimum of 5+ years of technical work experience including the design and installation of large (over 5000 phones) Cisco VoIP networks including UCCE, UCM, and Unity VM systems.
- The candidate must have extensive experience supporting Cisco Call Managers and Cisco VoIP (voice gateways, MGCP, SCCP, SIP, H323, etc, and Unity).
- Candidate must have strong Voice over IP technical support experience.
- CISCO Call Manager application support experience is required.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Excellent process, communications and project management skills.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Abilitiy to provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to lead and manage for results, work load from small MACDs to large scale projects.
- Working knowledge of Cisco networking equipment, and TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of traditional PBX and Voice networking environments.
- Must be able to lead a group of engineers for business results.
- Knowledge of Cisco UCCE and UCCX platform, including ICM and CVP.
- Knowledge of Cisco Telepresence is a plus.

Education

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
