The development database group supports application development groups in Colorado and Georgia. The database administrator will primarily work on projects directly associated with application development efforts in the Westminster office and secondarily, support the database teams in the Alpharetta, Georgia location. Support the development and QA groups. The DBA will also assist the Services group by building data conversion and other tools as needed to assist in customer install/upgrades on their production and non production systems<br/><br/>*Write scripts to upgrade the application schemas and support data conversions. <br><br/>*Develop and maintain database utilities. After hours 'on call¿ is required on a rotation basis with other DBA members. <br><br/>*Create and maintain Oracle databases to support development DBA Team activities. <br><br/>*Tune SQL and provide general database use recommendations and best practices. <br><br/>Respond to and resolve database performance issues<br><br/>*Resolve Oracle errors and failures. Work with Oracle support as necessary to resolve problems. <br><br/>*Conduct routine activities such as monitoring the databases, tracing sessions, tuning SQL and database instances, review log files, perform database maintenance, backup and recovery, security administration, and development of processes for automation of recurring tasks. <br><br/>Monitor, optimize and allocate physical data storage for database systems<br/><br/>Other Duties:<br/><br/>Oracle DBA's may assist in upgrading enterprise health systems to newer release levels. At McKesson Health Solutions, we're working to improve the healthcare system one partner at a time.<br/><br/>Current Need<br/><br/>The Technical Consultant provides technical leadership and expertise to McKesson project teams and customer project teams on concurrent Clear Coverage and/or InterQual implementations.<br/><br/>This person is responsible for technical solution design and integrations, as well as providing guidance to Business Systems Analysts with technical tasks such as loading data.<br/><br/>Position Description<br/><br/>Responsible for providing knowledge-based, content or technical expertise for the development and implementation of customer applications or solutions dealing with complex software applications. May make presentations on all aspects of products. Assists sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications. Implements detailed customer installation plans. May provide follow-up support in disseminating knowledge-based, content or technical information on specific applications or solutions.<br/><br/>Minimum Requirements<br/><br/>6+ years of specific knowledge-based, content or product applications engineering experience<br/><br/>Additional Knowledge & Skills<br/><br/>Specialized Knowledge/Skills ¿ <br><br/>-	Experience with HL-7, SQL, Javascript, Java, VB .net<br><br/>-	Experience and understanding of SaaS / hosted software applications<br><br/>-	Healthcare experience<br><br/>-	Active listening skills<br><br/>-	Strong and effective communication and presentation skills for client facing and internal communications.<br/><br/>Education<br/><br/>BS degree or equivalent experience.
