Position Description

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Oracle database objects and utilities to support current and future McKesson Clinicals application releases. The development database group supports application development groups in Colorado and Georgia. The database administrator will primarily work on projects directly associated with application development efforts in the Westminster office and secondarily, support the database teams in the Alpharetta, Georgia location. Support the development and QA groups. *Tune SQL and provide general database use recommendations and best practices.

Respond to and resolve database performance issues

*Resolve Oracle errors and failures. Work with Oracle support as necessary to resolve problems.

*Conduct routine activities such as monitoring the databases, tracing sessions, tuning SQL and database instances, review log files, perform database maintenance, backup and recovery, security administration, and development of processes for automation of recurring tasks.

Monitor, optimize and allocate physical data storage for database systems

Other Duties:

Oracle DBA's may assist in upgrading enterprise health systems to newer release levels. This task would involve responsibilties such as backup, recovery, replication, execution and troubleshooting of PL/SQL and shell scripts, performance troubleshooting, and external customer communication.

Minimum Requirements

- 6+ years experience in Oracle database administration

** Strong database and SQL tuning experience

**Work experience in Oracle 10g; Oracle 11G including RAC a plus.

**Extensive work experience in SQL and PL/SQL experience writing SQL and Stored Procedures

A Technical Implementation Engineer (TIE) to work as part of the Horizon Clinical Solutions Services team on new and add-on product implementations. The successful candidate must be capable of leading simultaneous projects and provide guidance to multiple teams; possess excellent customer service, communication, analytical and problem solving skills.

Travel: 25%

Additional Knowledge & Skills

-5+ years of implementation experience of information systems including

-2+ years of healthcare industry related experience

-Experience with multiple programming languages, hardware installation, Network installation, Operating System knowledge, Client/Server environment, Object oriented concepts and Database Management knowledge.

-LINUX\UNIX and Oracle experience is required

-Experience with McKesson or other Clinical software products highly desirable

-Interface, HL7 knowledge a plus

-Experience with Citrix, SAN and VMware a plus

-Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, training and presentation, problem solving and negotiating skills

-Capable of leading multiple technical projects simultaneously.

-Excellent organizational & time management skills

-Collaborative, customer-focused and able to create visible value internally and externally

Current Need

The Technical Consultant provides technical leadership and expertise to McKesson project teams and customer project teams on concurrent Clear Coverage and/or InterQual implementations.

This person is responsible for technical solution design and integrations, as well as providing guidance to Business Systems Analysts with technical tasks such as loading data.

Position Description

Responsible for providing knowledge-based, content or technical expertise for the development and implementation of customer applications or solutions dealing with complex software applications. May make presentations on all aspects of products. Assists sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications. Implements detailed customer installation plans. May provide follow-up support in disseminating knowledge-based, content or technical information on specific applications or solutions.

Minimum Requirements

6+ years of specific knowledge-based, content or product applications engineering experience

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Specialized Knowledge/Skills ¿

- Experience with HL-7, SQL, Javascript, Java, VB .net

- Experience and understanding of SaaS / hosted software applications

- Healthcare experience

- Active listening skills

- Strong and effective communication and presentation skills for client facing and internal communications.

Education

BS degree or equivalent experience. May require professional certification in applicable healthcare expertise.
