Current Need
The Director/VP, Strategy and Business Development will work with the SVP/GM of the Physician Practice Solutions business, the broader McKesson Technology Solutions leadership, and other Corporate Strategy and Business Development team members to lead the develop, lead, and execute on Physician Practice Solution business unit's growth strategy and to play a key role in McKesson's broader physician segment strategy.
Position Description
- Leads the development of BUs strategic plans: growth, profitability, and positioning
- Analyzes new growth opportunities, determines attractiveness, and develops management recommendations regarding investment and next steps
- Leads in the development of business cases to prioritize and coordinate and drive strategic initiatives across BU and partner business units
- In collaboration with the product organizations, directs the development of market-based three year strategies and product plans and goals
- Supports the identification and analyses of strategic opportunities within the business unit, across multiple business units and overall McKesson business strategy where Physician Practice Solutions is involved. Leads business units position on acquisition and strategic partnership assessments.
- Helps translate the strategic plan into operational plans and budgets.
- Drives key strategic initiatives for the BU.
Minimum Requirements
- 5-10 years work experience in technology and/or strategy
- Healthcare and/or Healthcare IT experience preferred
- Extensive experience in business case development
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Experience in M&A is an added plus
Education
MBA required. Undergraduate degree required in Marketing, Business or related field
