Manager Strategy & Business Development

Current Need

Responsible for assisting in the development and execution of the business unit growth strategy for Health Systems Performance Management. Provide research and analytical support on wide variety of strategic questions. Assist in the identification, due diligence, financial modeling, valuation and execution of business development and M&A related opportunities. Support strategic planning process for the business through conducting market research and competitive assessments. Responsible for ongoing tracking and measurement of strategic plans developed. This role reports to HSPM¿s VP of Strategy & Business Development.

Position Description

Conduct ongoing market assessments (size, margins, customer needs, competitiveness) to stay abreast of key trends and competitive actions (e.g., evaluation of product and service offerings, business models, competitor strategies). Provide relevant information and insight back to the business.
Assist in the development of HSPM strategy, including the official strategic planning process for HSPM within MPT. Responsible for periodic measurement of key metrics to track business success with respect to established strategies.

Maintain the HSPM M&A funnel, identifying and vetting potential acquisition targets and partnerships in key areas

Conduct financial modeling/analysis to support HSPM¿s business strategy, including business assessments, M&A and partnership
evaluations, and identifying potential opportunity plays

Participate in a variety of ad hoc projects and analysis to support tactical business decisions and/or opportunities which may be time sensitive

Minimum Requirements

8+ years of experience in product marketing

MBA or 8+ years of work experience (or a combination of MBA and work experience)

Minimum of 4 years experience in Management/Strategy Consulting, Strategic Planning, Business Development, Market Research, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or a related field

The ideal candidate will have a Strategy Consulting background
Healthcare experience is a plus, but not required

Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to dialog with senior management and communicate effectively

Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis and financial models

Superior problem solving and analytical skills; excellent research skills
