Global Sourcing Product Development Support Specialist 1

Position Description

This position is responsible for the coordination, scheduling, and documentation of product development projects for 3 Cypress Category Teams. Position interacts with other Cypress functions (QA, Finance, Materials Mgmt., etc.), with sourcing team in Shanghai, China, and with Cypress internal customers at various McKesson business units such as Medical-Surgical, US Pharma, Moore Medical, and Zee as well as with internal representatives to external customers like Owens & Minor, Rite-Aid, and others to assure that consistent process support and execution of the Cypress Product Development Process is maintained. Position will be responsible for implementing control systems for prototypes, and for driving standard practice and procedures related to customer evaluations, FAI (First Article Inspection) reviews and FLTS (First Lot To Stock) reviews for new projects. Position will provide pre-market support on the development of products as needed by the 3 Category Teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, conduct and document product evaluations, FAI¿s, FLTS¿s, etc.

- Maintain control systems for product control samples and prototypes.

- Conduct product evaluations, including measurements and assessments vs. competitive product.

- Assure timely completion of project documents and worksheets related to regulatory, quality, artwork, legal, and other functional project requirements in partnership with representatives from those functions.

- Create and maintain Design History Files for projects in accordance with FDA guidelines and under the direction of the Category Managers.

- Provide product research on new and existing products as directed by the Category Managers.

Minimum Requirements

Entry level business experience.

Some knowledge of industry and products is required. Excellent communications skills. Demonstrated ability to manage details and interact with others to achieve desired outcomes and timelines

Education

4 year degree in Marketing, Business, or related field or equivelent experience.
