Strategic Customer New Business Sales Executive

Current Need
The position of Strategic Customer New Business Sales Executive has recently become available within the New Business Sales Team. The Strategic Customer New Business Sales Executive is responsible for all activity in assigned new business accounts including product sales, services sales, account management and development of the client relationship at all levels in the client organization and client satisfaction.
Location: Telecommuter position. Must live in a major metropolitan area with a major airport. 60% - 70% overnight travel required.
Position Description
Identify and close new account sales opportunities
Responsible for all components of a complex selling process to include, but not limited to:
a.Arranging presentations
b.Product demonstrations
c.Site Visits
d.Contract Negotiations
Miller-Heiman Strategic and Conceptual selling skills are required
Manage time and resources effectively to meet territory sales objectives
Expertise in all aspects of product, service and industry issues.
Organizational communication skills are a priority
Proficient in the use of automated territory management tools
Extensive overnight travel required
Minimum Requirements
5+ years successful healthcare information systems or technology sales experience to hospitals preferred.
Experience with long sales cycles, high-level sales, and large quotas
Entrepreneurial mentality to build a business from within with the backing of McKesson brand and resources.
Ability to position solutions by thinking "out of the box" and creating opportunity where none may appear to exist.
Tenacity and the ability to not take no for an answer.
Ability to break down barriers in order to locate and/or create revenue opportunities.
Ability to build C-suite relationships, key department relationships and align strategic lead products with customer strategic initiatives, objectives and goals.
Experience with quarterbacking deals and directing resources to win department/IT level buy-in.
Ability to learn quickly, grasp information and apply it to a given situation inside a customer problem or planning process.
Ability to learn about health system strategic direction and concerns from any sources including the media, partners, coaches, etc.
Exceptional presentation skills required.
Exceptional communication skills including written communication through clear and concise messaging.
Knowledge of sales territory management (Siebel experience a plus)
Good negotiation, conflict management & customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple, diverse projects and sales events simultaneously
Knowledge of current information systems technology and of healthcare industry and trends
Thoroughly knowledgeable in strategic selling
Ability to demonstrate consistent closing techniques throughout the sales cycle
Education
4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
Physical Requirements
Extensive overnight travel required
