Position Description
The position of Account Executive has recently become available on the McKesson Pharmacy Systems Outpatient Account Management Team. The Account Executive will be responsible for customer satisfaction and retention by working with the assigned MPS customer base to develop and maintain positive customer relations. The Account Executive will assist the customer with the coordination and timing of projects such as release upgrades, product enhancements, and facility rollouts.
Position is located in MOON TOWNSHIP, PA or LIVONIA, MI
Key Responsibilities:
Act as both the internal and external customer liaison, serving as the customer sponsor, including monitoring and supporting all activity through the appropriate part of our organization and escalating customer issues quickly if problems are not being addressed sufficiently.
Well versed in developing and supporting the relationship between McKesson Pharmacy Systems and the customer at multiple levels, including both operational and executive contacts, assisting the customer in maximizing the various McKesson Pharmacy System products they currently use, and working with the customer to identify areas of need where additional products and modules may enhance attainment of their business goals.
The Account Executive will demonstrate an understanding of the industry drivers and trends that are impacting our strategic customers and driving their business.
Proactively communicate with customers for upcoming events and follow-up post events including system outages, upgrades and fixes.
Assist with managing the account plan for existing accounts, including existing contract details and opportunities for further account development.
Lead and participate in regular business reviews with the customer
Work closely with Product Management to assist in prioritizing key customer enhancements and defect resolution
Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of customer information within internal systems.
Partners with the Senior Account Executive to assist with managing the larger, more complex customers.
May serve as the primary point of contact for smaller, less complex outpatient customers.
Minimum Requirements
2-5 years of Account Management experience in a healthcare environment required or equivalent experience. Previous experience with multi-facility hospital corporations and IDN¿s preferred.
Strong negotiation, conflict management & customer service skills. Ability to manage complex tasks and multiple projects.
Excellent interpersonal/relationship building skills.
Thorough understanding of McKesson product offerings and product integration strategies. Knowledge of healthcare industry.
Strong analytic skills, attention to detail and organizational skills are critical.
Customer implementation and project management experience desired. Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
Ability to travel 25-50%; travel will vary depending on customer project demands.

Education
4-year degree in business or healthcare management related field or equivalent experience
