Technical Trainer 1

Current Need

The training focus of this position is on the delivery of Instructor-Led Training (ILT) programs for EnterpriseRx. As an integral part of the Training Team you will be tasked with developing and delivering interactive and creative training programs to educate McKesson clients, as well as employees, on System Administration and Pharmacy Staff functionality. Training of McKesson clients will take place at the clients site as well as via distance learning over the internet. Ability to quickly learn new software and develop quality programs, as part of a training team, is key to success in this role.

The successful applicant will be based out of the Pittsburgh, PA (Moon Township), Atlanta, GA (North Druid Hills) or Livonia, MI offices when not traveling.

In addition, occasional travel on weekend days and/or holidays will be required.

Position Description

Responsible for conducting classes for employees or customers regarding features and operation of software products. May test and maintain training software, documentation, and A/V presentation materials. May conduct training needs analyses and develop technical training materials. Operates under general supervision. Technical training courses and materials may deal with complex situations for multiple products. Interfaces with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses. Prepares lesson plans from software documentation, field requirements, and/or engineering documentation. Works with programmers, software engineering and technical support to ensure that course material reflects current product features. May instruct participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions. Follows up to determine applicability of course material.

Position can be filled in Livonia, MI or Moon Township, PA or Atlanta, GA

Minimum Requirements

Entry level experience in technical training, field sales, product support, and/or consulting experience

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Critical Skills:
- Experience traveling 75% of calendar year
- 2+ years in training or product support

Understanding of:
- Retail Pharmacy Industry a plus
- Instructional Design Theory
- Technical Writing
- Virtual Classroom Instructional techniques
- Webex Functionality and capabilities
- EnterpriseRx functionality (desirable)
- Basic knowledge of IT a plus

Education

BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.

Certifications/Licensure

Certified Pharmacy Technician a plus.

Physical Requirements

- General Office Demands
- The successful candidate will be required to travel up to 100% to locations throughout the United States
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
