Position Description

This position is responsible for answering patient calls and researching and resolving issues in order to receive maximum profitability for clients. Reviews claims to make sure that payer specific billing requirements are met, follows up on billing, determines and applies appropriate adjustments, answers inquiries, and updates accounts as necessary

Minimum Requirements

1+ years of customer service experience in the healthcare and/or insurance industries is required.

This position is responsible for handling all correspondence related to an insurance or patient account, contacting insurance carriers, patients and other facilities as needed to get maximum payment on accounts and identify issues, trends or changes to achieve client profitability. Responsible for working EDI transactions and ERA files, including reconciling carrier submissions, edits and rejection reports. Research and resolve accounts appearing on Delinquent Insurance Report, Collection Ledger and Government Payor reports.

Minimum Requirements

Candidate must possess 3+ years work experience with medical A/R follow up on claim denials and appeals process.

Abstracts clinical information from a variety of medical records and assigns appropriate ICD-9 and/or CPT codes to patient records according to established procedures. Analyzes, enters and manipulates database, confirms appropriate DRG assignments.

Minimum Requirements

3-5 years of previous work experience in medical coding with required knowledge in CPT and ICD-9 coding or a graduate of a coding program. National Coding Certification, such as a CPC or CPC-A required.

Current Need

We are currently seeking a Sr. Manager of Medical Billing Operations for our Centralized Billing Office in Pittsburg, PA.

Relocation is offered for this role.

Position Description

Participates with other senior managers to establish corporate strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures effective achievement of operation's objectives. Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional, division, or company operations.

Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions normally involve controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading other senior level managers.

Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several operational department managers within the company having overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs, methods, and employees.

The ideal candidate for this position must possess:

Extensive knowledge of AR billing systems and utility management as it relates to production and client reporting

Extensive knowledge and experience in new business implementation, AR conversions and management of existing accounts receivable

Ability to actively participate in budget development and carry responsibility for achievement of budget targets

Responsible for the training and development of new operations staff

Minimum Requirements

Previous supervisory experience of at least 5-7 years of physician billing experience.

Strong communication and analytical skills.

Must be able to work closely with remote client via phone, teleconference and webinars.

Need for strong leader that can multitask and work as a self starter.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

10+ years operational experience including 7+ years managerial experience.
