Innovation Manager Customer Facing Software Technology

Current Need
Qualified individual will have Product Marketing experience an act as a liaison between the Marketing Department and IT development. Will be responsible for steering the direction of McKesson's IT product offerings to the Long Term Care industry through short and long term strategic planning. Must have the ability to speak to all levels of management and be able to build strong working cross functional relationships.
Position Description
Responsible for Extended Care IT product development & portfolio management, including strategic IT planning/road mapping process, project management, and outcome measurement. The primary focus of the role is to provide strategy development responsibility from concept development/needs assessment through product launch.
Responsible for the development for specific marketing plans and activities for specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. Develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Establishes pricing strategies. Interfaces with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product lines(s).
Minimum Requirements
8+ years of experience in product marketing. Information Technology industry experience a strong plus. Ability to translate customer needs and execute in the business; understanding of Information Technology from a customer perspective; ability to manage and work with cross functional teams including customers, our sales force and technology vendors; should possess a high level of creativity.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Product development; IT a plus
- Aptitude for technology / software
- Ability to learn/deep dive into various provider market details and/or seek out appropriate subject matter experts
- Sales/customer facing aptitude/comfort
- MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Project management certification a plus
- Building cross-functional teams
- Ability to present to senior management, gain buy-in and alignment
- Systems Analyst or Business Development experience is a plus.
Education
MBA preferred in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience
