Position Description
Responsible for evaluating and managing multiple new initiatives and business opportunities. Engage in strategy development and project execution for a Fortune 15 healthcare company; including the evaluation of merger and acquisition candidates from target identification through due diligence and transaction completion; and the leadership of multi-disciplinary teams. Excellent opportunity to work with diverse and talented group of people in a growing industry with a high level of visibility and strong career development opportunities. Successful candidate expected to oversee multiple projects and take active role in mentoring and development of junior team members
Sample projects include:
- evaluation of industry trends to develop implications and recommend strategies;
- development of customer strategies;
- identification, analysis and deal completion of acquisition candidates;
- identification of business implications associated with regulatory environment;
- evaluation of new business opportunities;
- new market analysis and entry strategies;
- creation of new customer initiatives drawing on an integrated offering across multiple business units;
- and evaluation of new technologies.
Minimum Requirements
- MBA or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in healthcare not required, though expected to have good understanding of key issues
- Strong interest in healthcare essential
- 5+ years post-MBA business development experience
- Functional experience in strategic planning, management consulting, investment banking, finance, mergers & acquisitions, venture capital, or healthcare operations
- Prior experience in management and development of people and/or project teams
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of business development practices and procedures;
- Excellent project management and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
- Strong leadership skills and strategic problem solving
Education
MBA preferred in Finance, Business, or related field or equivalent experience
