The Distribution Services segment of our company is dedicated to the wholesale distribution of specialty pharmaceuticals - focusing on oncology and other specialty products. Our Specialty Patient Services group provides compliance and adherence programs, as well as reimbursement hotlines, patient assistance and support programs and the managed distribution of pharmaceutical products. Our Specialty Solution Center is the largest single-site call center in healthcare, offering a centralized approach to optimize manufacturer product reimbursement and access. Our US Oncology operations unite one of the nation's largest health-care services network devoted exclusively to cancer treatment and research, and is a pioneer in community-based cancer care. Annually, the united network of more than 9,000 physicians, clinicians, nurses, and administrators delivers integrated cancer care to more than 850,000 cancer patients in community-based clinics located in 41 states.
Position Description
Develops long-term strategies and goals for radiation and imaging services within affiliated practices to build facilities that are leaders in best practices for the industry. Responsible for consulting and working with practice management and finance to drive new business initiates and get approval for practice growth projects.
-Consults with practice management to set long term radiation and imaging strategies through the selection of new or replacement equipment and technologies. Works with practice management and corporate development to identify and develop a pipeline of opportunities for growth within assigned regions. Supports Physician committees and strategic initiatives identified by Cancer Center Services.
- Develops project proposals showing growth objectives, financial impact, and practice engagement. Advises and facilitates the approval of the radiation and imaging projects through the Capex process. Brings key decision makers together to build consensus and alignment for projects. Provides technical and financial guidance to show the pros and cons to each project.
-Stays current of new technologies and regulations within radiation and imaging. Builds relationships with key stakeholders. Keeps abreast of current projects under construction and will train and/or advise junior staff on project management. Ensures project manager are aware of key issues, objectives and relationship dynamics within each project prior to transition.
-Responsible for establishing and implementing Cancer Care Services best demonstrated practices.
-Coordinates practice education of Cancer Center Service technology and service offerings.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Healthcare Administration. MBA preferred. Minimum of twelve (12) years experience in medical practice administration, preferably in oncology, nuclear medicine, radiation, or related discipline. At least five (5) years supervisory experience coaching, developing, and managing staff. . American Registry of Radiation Technologists or Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives certification preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
