The Distribution Services segment of our company is dedicated to the wholesale distribution of specialty pharmaceuticals - focusing on oncology and other specialty products. Our Specialty Patient Services group provides compliance and adherence programs, as well as reimbursement hotlines, patient assistance and support programs and the managed distribution of pharmaceutical products. Our Specialty Solution Center is the largest single-site call center in healthcare, offering a centralized approach to optimize manufacturer product reimbursement and access. Our US Oncology operations unite one of the nation's largest health-care services network devoted exclusively to cancer treatment and research, and is a pioneer in community-based cancer care. Current Need
As a process improvement, quality consultant and change agent assigned to defined business areas, drives significant results by leading mid to large complexity process improvement projects focused on supporting growth, customer satisfaction, and productivity. Provides process improvement leadership and has a thorough understanding of process improvement methodology, project management and change management. Indirectly responsible for development of practice level resources. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards
Position Description
As a process improvement, quality consultant and change agent assigned to defined business areas, drives significant results by leading mid to large complexity process improvement projects focused on supporting growth, customer satisfaction, and productivity. Provides process improvement leadership and has a thorough understanding of process improvement methodology, project management and change management. Indirectly responsible for development of practice level resources. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
¿ Apply Lean Six Sigma techniques to complex projects that lead to significant results by leading process teams across 2-4 practices. Using a defined approach, implements and applies US Oncology process improvement blueprints. Responsible for defining, researching, planning, building business support, and selection of a change agent team in order to reduce cycle time, improve profitability, increase effectiveness and efficiencies. Establishes local process ownership. Monitors performance and improvements in key metrics.
¿ Builds & reaches consensus with practice leadership concerning identified problem areas and pursing recommended solutions to increase growth and to improve productivity.
¿ Acts as a change agent/coach to instill and sustain changes. Trains, mentors & coaches Green Belts on how and when to use Lean and Six Sigma Tools.
¿ Identifies and captures opportunities to improve and automate processes for sustained efficiencies and savings. Promotes the use of metrics and data to drive project focus. Accountability for functional, business, and company, practice, or department objectives.
¿ Constantly seeks, develops, shares, and implements best practices among fellow process improvement coaches and clients.
¿ Develop and present process result presentations to senior management
¿ Run Workflow Simulation Modeling software to increase utilized capacity for infusion and exam rooms within practices.
¿ Provides input to the development of curriculum and related training modules to educate US Oncology management and personnel in the principles of the developed process improvement methodology and related toolset. Assists in the delivery of training.
Minimum Requirements
¿ Certified Black Belt in Six Sigma knowledge and techniques from an industry recognized leader
¿ Bachelor's degree
¿ 5 or more years of business or healthcare experience with a minimum 3-5 years of process improvement experience required.
¿ Project Management experience required.
¿ Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Power Point and statistical analysis software
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Healthcare industry experience preferred. Strong project management skills. Ability to demonstrate leadership without formal authority. Teamwork, ability to coach others, motivate, build consensus, and respect. Facilitation skills to encourage new ideas and participation.
