(MAI) products.<br/><br/>Position Description<br/><br/>- Deliver high-quality and effective training that adheres to training industry and MAI training standards. Provide special or customized training when required.<br/><br/>- Partner with the Technical Course Development Team to design and develop product documentation and training tools that meet customer and employee needs. Participate in quality assurance audits to ensure that documentation and training tools are accurate and understandable from a user standpoint.<br/><br/>- Gather information from multiple resources to understand the enhancements for each new product release. Transfer content collected from the field and beta tests to the Technical Course Development Team.<br/><br/>- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction to ensure effectiveness of training. Solicit training satisfaction feedback and implement program changes, as needed. Provide customer feedback and requests for product enhancement received during training to technical product management.<br/><br/>- Training is product-centered with functional alignment. These elements include: delivery of scheduled software/hardware upgrades; provide on-site support for upgrades; troubleshooting hardware/software upgrade issues; analyzing pre-upgrade customer data; communicating issues shared by customers during the upgrade process to appropriate parties - including Software Development, Product Support, and Project Management; follow-up with customers for a defined period following the upgrades; participate in beta upgrade process; communicate the upgrade process to the customer to ensure an understanding of new release functionality; transferring files and applying hot fixes to sites as requested by the Application Release Manager; electronically documenting software versions. They are responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to mechanical failures, computer hardware failures, software failures, network problems and user issues. The ability to determine the root cause of problems requires mechanical, hardware and software knowledge. The analyst must exercise independent judgment to determine the source of the problem and the most appropriate way to resolve. MAH products are in mission critical areas of the hospital. Therefore decisions must be made to assure maximum "uptime" for the equipment.<br/><br/>Position Description<br/><br/>- Answer incoming support requests from internal/external sources to maintain acceptable service levels.<br><br/>- Monitor the incoming call queue to maintain established service levels.<br><br/>- Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, network, and database issues with all supported versions of MAH products. This involves dialing into customer sites to perform tasks such as (but not limited to): analyzing the performance of the client system and database; reviewing scheduled tasks; and executing various scripts as necessary based on problems encountered.<br><br/>- Properly document all customer interactions and troubleshooting actions into the department's case tracking system. Utilize prioritization and time management skills. Manage open calls to ensure appropriate resolution time.<br><br/>- Utilize the department's knowledge base to determine proper troubleshooting course of action.<br><br/>- Consult with Customer Support Specialists to develop resolutions to software and hardware problems as needed. <br><br/>- Perform Customer Support Specialist duties when needed in order to maintain proper service levels.<br><br/>- Proactively identify trends at customer sites with respect to hardware and software that can lead to problems.<br><br/>- Position requires shift work to provide support on a 24/7 schedule.<br><br/>- Practice professional telephone etiquette.<br><br/>- Other duties as assigned.<br><br/>- Demonstrate the ICARE shared principles. These activities cross the entire McKesson Automation product line and multiple software release versions. The position will coordinate all MAI upgrade team resources to ensure a successful implementation of the upgrade and to also manage the customer through all key project milestones. The position will ensure that the customer has been effectively communicated with during the pre-upgrade planning process and in preparation of upgrade go-live deployment - this includes extensive pre-upgrade analysis of the customer site¿s product mix, hardware, software, hospital workflow configuration and other related areas that could impact upgrade delivery. The Upgrade Project Manager will be responsible to ensure a problem-free delivery of the upgrade, by providing a proper level of go-live support and escalation of post-upgrade issues. They will also minimize decisions between MAI and the customer that would lead to additional costs and serious delays in overall schedules. This position is responsible to constantly monitor any changes that affect the analysis or delivery processes of the upgrade and to communicate these changes to the customer and throughout the ARM department.<br/><br/>Position Description<br/><br/>- Provide comprehensive project management services and leadership necessary to plan and execute an upgrade deployment strategy for McKesson Automation hardware/software releases.<br><br/>- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through personal and team performance.<br><br/>- Facilitate cross-product upgrade issue resolution for all McKesson Automation product lines.<br><br/>- Work with Account Executives on product and service support issues.<br><br/>- Coordinate between the customer and the ARM team all requirements necessary for the planning, deployment, and support of the upgrade based upon customer product mix and pre-defined upgrade sales contract.<br><br/>- Evaluate all components of the upgrade scope of work and define the appropriate action plan.<br><br/>- Engage the customer to define upgrade project plans and associated product downtime schedule.<br><br/>- Engage the customer to determine which new product release features will be implemented.<br><br/>- Assist the customer with pre-upgrade testing activities related to validation of current workflow processes in the new upgrade release version. Validate customer participation in all applicable upgrade training classes.<br><br/>- Define and communicate upgrade project scope of work and related schedules for internal ARM departmental employees responsible for on-site and remote delivery of upgrade services.<br><br/>- Ensure pre-upgrade customer product workflow is maintained / re-established during a stabilization period immediately following the upgrade go-live.<br><br/>- Document challenges encountered in the upgrade process and define the appropriate action plans to prevent their recurrence. Provide best practice recommendations and share lessons learned.<br><br/>- Define and maintain all aspects of a repeatable upgrade methodology. Work with appropriate internal teams to provide feedback on the upgrade process, resolution of post-upgrade issues, and technical limitations/improvements, software bugs, enhancements, etc.<br><br/>- Develop and facilitate post-upgrade customer surveys and related metrics.<br><br/>- Demonstrates the ICARE Shared Principles.<br><br/>- Must be fiscally responsible for all business related expenses and able to obtain and maintain a corporate issued credit card.<br><br/>- May require up to 25% travel to customer sites for kick-off, upgrade planning, and/or post-upgrade support activities.<br/><br/>Minimum Requirements<br/><br/>- Minimum of 5 years proven project management experience. <br><br/>- Specific knowledge of McKesson Automation product offerings, services, release functionality and customer base required.<br/><br/>Additional Knowledge & Skills<br/><br/>- Demonstrated Project Management skills with a focus on customer management, process development, independent decision making, and a spirit of constant improvement.<br><br/>- Exceptional customer communication, negotiating, and conflict/complaint skills.<br><br/>- Working knowledge of computer networks, Microsoft operating systems, and computer databases.<br/><br/>Education<br/><br/>- Bachelor's degree or equivalent. These elements include: delivery of scheduled software/hardware upgrades; provide on-site support for upgrades; troubleshooting hardware/software upgrade issues; analyzing pre-upgrade customer data; communicating issues shared by customers during the upgrade process to appropriate parties - including Software Development, Product Support, and Project Management; follow-up with customers for a defined period following the upgrades; participate in beta upgrade process; communicate the upgrade process to the customer to ensure an understanding of new release functionality; transferring files and applying hot fixes to sites as requested by the Application Release Manager; electronically documenting software versions. The Upgrades Specialist will work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.<br/><br/>Minimum Requirements<br/><br/>- Must travel to customer sites approximately 70% of work time.<br><br/>- Coordinate hardware/software upgrades with customer sites and project management according to priorities set by Application Release Manager.<br><br/>- Implement hardware/software upgrades, both remotely and on-site at customer facilities. Meet all upgrade downtime requirements.<br><br/>- Perform various installation/configuration tasks for PC and server replacement/upgrades, including hard drive replacements, memory upgrades, peripheral device replacements, etc.<br><br/>- Manage multiple upgrade projects concurrently.<br><br/>- Provide direction and guidance to secondary upgrade resources used to assist with on-site upgrade deployment.<br><br/>- Coordinate distribution of software, release notes, project plans and associated product documentation for system-wide software upgrades.<br><br/>- Troubleshoot level one pre- and post-upgrade challenges including product troubleshooting, verification of software registry, review of appropriate installation files and database logins.<br><br/>- Troubleshoot computer networking challenges, including active directory and domain administration.<br><br/>- Execute pre-defined database scripts and interpret results for appropriate action.<br><br/>- Develop repeatable upgrade deployment processes to support new software releases and related team needs.<br><br/>- Document software versions as upgrades occur and challenges encountered in the upgrade process.<br><br/>- Demonstrates the McKesson ICARE Shared Principles.<br><br/>- Must be fiscally responsible for all business related expenses and able to obtain and maintain a corporate issued credit card.<br/><br/>Additional Knowledge & Skills<br/><br/>- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows NT, 2000, 2003, 2008, XP, and 7 operating systems.<br><br/>- Working knowledge of computer networks (TCP/IP) and ability to troubleshoot network-related issues.<br><br/>- Detailed knowledge of computer databases. Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2008 experience preferred.<br><br/>- Demonstrated Project Management skills and the ability to manage multiple and complex tasks.<br><br/>- Exceptional Customer Service skills.<br><br/>- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of technology managers and users.<br/><br/>Education<br/><br/>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related preferred, along with 2 years of related experience with an emphasis on managing projects or complex tasks.
