Current Need

The Surgery Account Executive is responsible for managing 100+ current McKesson surgery information system customers by providing consultative sales support in assigned accounts. The position will include the development of the client relationship at all levels in the client organization with focus specifically on client satisfaction, client retention, and driving business expansion via sales opportunities.

Location: Large metro area in the eastern U.S.

Territory: Eastern U.S.

Travel: Up to 60%

Position Description

Manage assigned customer accounts to sell upgrades, additional modules and maintain current maintenance revenue stream in order to drive the surgical solutions within customer base.

Travel to customer sites to coordinate presentations, conduct demonstrations and facilitate site visits.

Manage time and resources effectively to meet territory sales objectives and improve customer relationship.

Maintain industry and product knowledge and inform company of changing market conditions and competitive issues.

Manage sales activities and qualification of opportunities within the customer relationship management system so that sales activity is accurately forecasted and reported to management

Drive opportunities to close by successfully negotiating contracts and influencing key decision makers.

Identify and coordinate activities with key sales resources from various organizations.

Minimum Requirements

2+ years successful clinical sales experience to hospitals preferably in the area of surgical information systems.

2+ years sales with large healthcare facility experience

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

Must live within territory and available for 60% travel

Adept with selling at high levels in the healthcare market (CEO, COO, CIO, CFO level)

Demonstrated and verifiable experience consistently exceeding large quotas

Demonstrated and verifiable experience with customer management including maintaining existing software support and maintenance revenue streams.

Expertise at creating sales strategies to match operating strategies for hospitals

Knowledge of sales territory management (Siebel experience a plus)

Strong negotiation, conflict management & customer service skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple, diverse projects and sales events simultaneously.

Knowledge of current information systems technology and of healthcare industry and trends.

Proficient in strategic sales account planning skills.

Ability to demonstrate consistent closing techniques throughout the sales cycle.

Education

Requires a Bachelor's Degree.

Physical Requirements

Up to 60% overnight travel required
