Clinical Systems Analyst (Paragon)

Position Description
The Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Paragon suite of application functions at the client location. Responsibilities include performing initial build/configuration and providing immediate application and systems support for any combination of two or more of the following applications: CPOE, Clinical Care Station, Order Management, Emergency Department (ED) and Lab. Additionally, the analyst plans and executes unit, integration, and acceptance testing and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
Responsibilities:
1. Implement Paragon clinical applications as part of the project team.
- Identifies work breakdown structure tasks for project planning the implementation of applications
- Facilitates with business owners the documentation of the future state workflow
- Utilizes the future state workflow to create requirements definition
- Works with the requirements documentation to design, build, and configure the application
- Builds and modifies application configuration,
- Able to work independently
- Provides input for testing, training, and go live planning
- Works in Go Live activities onsite support or as assigned
- Reports ongoing status and completion of tasks/assignments
- Provides feedback for lessons learned during project closure activities
2. Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner and meets expectation for the desired outcome
3. Communication
- Establishes clear communications with business owners of application
- Serves as a proactive and trusted IT partner to clients
- Able to articulate client requirements to other team analysts and vendor implementation consultants and foresee downstream impacts
- Writes clearly and concisely
- Exercises common sense and good judgment with decisions, escalation of issues, and prioritization of work
- Provides timely and accurate updates to Clinical Applications Manager and client
*This position requires 50-60% travel.
*Location - Alpharetta, GA or work from home (if remote employee)
Minimum Requirements
6+ years experience in designing, building, and implementing two or more of the Paragon clinical solutions (CPOE, Clinical Care Station, Order Management, Lab, or Emergency Department/ED). Previous experience working directly with client/project manager to build, test (unit, integrated and follow plans) and optimize applications as well as in managing daily work assignments and performing project status reporting.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Experience in revenue cycle management ( ie Patient Access, Patient Financial Services or Scheduling)
Education
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
